So I was wandering around online and I came across a website that was talking about expired beauty products and when you should toss them, etc. and it inspired me to kick some of my old products to the curb. What I am kicking out and why:
Make Up Forever Professional Mini Rouge Artist Intense Lipstick in 36 Sample – I’ve had this for ages! I almost can’t remember when I got it, but I know it was at least 3+ years ago, and I have hardly used it. Out it goes because that is just a creepy amount of time and I know I’ll not miss it
Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color in 22 Gunmetal – I love this nail polish color because it looks just like graphite. However, I have also had it for probably 3+ years and it is now at that super gloopy stage where it is just impossible to use because it takes like an hour to dry. I’ll probably miss the color, but they still make it so I can always buy it again. I am proud of how much I used it! It’s the only nail polish color that I can say I hit pan on, because its half empty! Go me!
Too Faced Galaxy Glam Baked Eye Shadows in Amber Asteroid and Magenta Moon – I got these in a set ages and ages ago, and I have hardly used them; only for swatches really. I know I won’t be using them, and because they have been used I can’t sell them. Out they go so I can stop feeling guilty every time I see them in my makeup drawer because I will never been able to use them up.
Clinique: Almost Bronzer Spf 15 in Light/Medium – I liked this when I first got it from my best friend (who got it as a gift with purchase). It is a nice light color for me, however it always suffered from that “hardening” problem that some powders get. I don’t know if I screwed it up when I first started using it because that was before I knew alot about makeup or what, but no amount of scrapping cross hatches in it could revive it, and I think if I try to get the whole hard layer off it would just be the entire powder! Bye bye bronzer.
Garnier Skin Renew Miracle Skin Perfector BB Cream in Light Medium – This is over a year old, and while I loved it when I had it (check out my review here), I eventually fell out of love with it and never really missed it. I think it’s because I found foundations and moisturizers that didn’t leave me greasy like this BB Cream did. When I bought it, it was so much less greasy than other things I tried, but it was eventually surpassed by other new things. I still like the idea of it, but if I wear to re-buy it, it would probably be the “oil free” version they have now.
