1. Bath and Body Works White Citrus Creamy Body Wash
I loved this scent as a hand sanitizer but not so much as shower products. I think maybe the scent isn’t as sharp and zesty because of all the water in the shower, or something. Either way, would rather get the hand sanitizer again. Didn’t notice anything special about the “creamy” nature of this product. I do not feel like it made my skin feel more moisturized than with other body washes. Womp wah. Probably won’t buy this again. Though it does have the perk that the “creamy” body wash comes in a face down tube style container and not in a traditional bottle, so its easier to get out at the end than when you have the bottle kind.
2. Bath and Body Works White Citrus Supercharged Body Scrub
I’ve used Bath and Body Works scrubs in the past and I really liked that one, but this one didn’t seem as good. I thought the scrub was kind of thick, and it was the smooth texture of the prior one that I liked. The scent was a little better than the creamy body wash version, but not by much. Probably won’t buy again, but I am always a fan of tube scrubs over those that come in a tub.
3. Bath and Body Works Paris Amour Bubble Bath
I really like Bath and Body Works bubble baths. They never seem to disappoint in the bubble area, even if the scents aren’t the strongest. This was nice, but nothing to write home about. I think I prefer the Sweet Pea scent, but honestly, I think they are a little similar. Will very likely buy Bath and Body Works Bubble Bath again, put probably in what ever scent strikes my fancy at the time. Not particularly married to any of the scents in bubble bath form.
4. Alba Moisturizing Foam Shave in Mango Vanilla
It wasn’t that long ago that I hauled this, but it lasted a decent amount of time for shaving cream I think (2-3 months?). I love the aerosol-free Alba shaving creams. I was hesitate about this scent at first because it seemed a little weird but I wanted to try it anyway since I used the Sea Mist scent the first time. I think I like this one better because it is more feminine, but the Sea Mist one is kinda vacation-y. I’m not sure what shaving cream I am going to get next but I really want to get another Alba one! Might have to “make” myself go to Whole Foods! haha!
5. Bath and Body Works Country Chic Triple Moisture Body Cream
Love the scent. Love the formula. Wish it didn’t run out so fast, though I guess that is what you have to deal with when a formula is thick and powerful. I think I more products in this Bath and Body Works scent because I always forget how much I love it!
6. L’Occitane Pivoine Flora Beauty Milk
Another item from my perfume gift set to myself bites the dust! Now just bars of soap and the perfume itself left! As weird as I thought the “beauty milk” description was, I really loved this product. It moisturized perfectly and sunk in really fast. I didn’t feel like there was a layer of “stuff” left behind (which the BBW Triple Moisture can feel like sometimes) which was awesome. L’Occitane can be expensive so I don’t know if I would buy the full sized, but I really would love if I could!
7. Number 4 Clarifying Shampoo
I got this in my January Birchbox and wasn’t super wowed. I like the idea of a clarifying shampoo, and I like the idea of no/low sulphate shampoo, but this just didn’t make my hair feel super clean. It also has a weirdly thick texture, but the scent was ok. I won’t be buying the full size because it is expensive and I don’t like it much.
8. Simple Smoothing Facial Scrub
I did an overview of a bunch of different Simple Skincare products a while back and have since tried another product, the Smoothing Facial Scrub. I liked the idea of it because it was a cream scrub, but I wasn’t wowed. I liked that it felt moisturizing but I felt like I was always left wanting more. It wasn’t moisturizing enough and it wasn’t exfoliating enough. I still love the brand, but don’t think I’ll be buying this product again. My skin has been acting up recently so I might try out their moisturizing facial wash soon!
9. Soap and Glory Wash Your Hands of It Fruity Fresh Non-Drying Hand Wash
I got this recently in a set that came with their Hand Food hand lotion too. This soap was fine, but nothing to write home about. The scent isn’t as fabulous as Hand Food, and there is nothing special about the formula. Not 100% non-drying, but better than the regular stuff. Probably won’t buy again, but it was fun to have!
10. Soap and Glory The Daily Smooth Body Butter
At first I thought I didn’t like the scent because it was musky, but once I started using it, I really started to love the scent! The formula is very similar to the Bath and Body Works Triple Moisture Cream. Buy again? I might actually. I really love Soap and Glory and kind of want to try everything!
11. DKNY Be Delicious Intense Perfume Sample
Honestly, I didn’t realize this was the “Intense” version until just now when I looked at the tube for this review! Haha! Despite that fact, I loved this scent. I don’t really know what makes this different from the regular non “intense” version, but I like the fruity yet mature scent.
12. Sephora Instant Moisturizer Sample
There is nothing special about this moisturizer. It was fine, but reminded me of many a drug store lotion that was fine but not noteworthy. Won’t be buying the full size.
13. L’Occitane Fabulous Serum Deluxe Sample
I love the name of this, haha. And it is kinda fabulous. I like the idea of a moisturizing serum, and this seemed to really help me when I was having a bad dry patch problem this winter. Will I buy the full size? It’s expensive, so I am hesitant, but I just might if I keep missing it.
14. L’Occitane Shea Butter Ultra Rich Face Cream Deluxe Sample
This was a god send when I had a terrible dry patch problem caused by a harsh face wash. I loved it, and probably would buy the full size had I not discovered the Fabulous Serum. This is more heavy duty, so I might consider using this in the winter and the Fabulous Serum for less harsh days, but I guess we shall have to wait and see!
15. Mox Botanicals Lip Butter in Pomegranate & Fig Deluxe Sample
I received this in my October Birchbox and it lasted me a super long time! I loved the texture; what I would consider a true lip butter texture. It was oily in a good way, but not sticky or gross. I loved the scent and I think it moisturized my poor winter chapped lips pretty well. I am not sure that I would buy the full size because I think I can get the same effect from other cheaper products, but I did love the opportunity to try out a new brand. Thanks Birchbox!
16. Dead Sea Premier Instant Stretching and Revitalizing Mask
I got this ages and ages ago in a MyGlam Bag, back when that existed. It was a nice mask, but not anything I would buy full size. It moisturized a bit, but I don’t have a problem with wrinkles so the effect was probably lost on me. Plus, I heard that it was REAL expensive full size, so I won’t be buying it.
17. Benta Berry G-1 Moisturizing Face Cream
18. Masque-ology Revitalizing Eye Gel
This came in my November Birchbox. I have never been one to have a puffy undereye problem, so it took a while before I decided to use this. I used it after an emotional night, and I think it helped prevent some next-day puffiness. The texture was totally weird and alien like, but I did like the cooling effect it had too. Won’t be buying full size because it’s not something I could ever see myself really needing, but I think others might like it if they do have a puffiness problem.
19. Cutex One-Step Pads Advanced Revival Nail Polish Remover
I got this as a free sample online one time and it sat in my drawer for the longest time. Now that I am on my New Years Resolution Sample Kick, I decided to use it. It has a slightly nicer scent than regular nail polish, but other than that, I don’t know if there is anything really special about it. Nail polish removers claim to strengthen and nourish but I have never seen any real difference between removers. Would I buy? Sure, but only because I have a coupon. Otherwise I’ll stick to whats on sale/store bands,
20. Deborah Lippman The Stripper to Go Lavender Nail Lacquer Remover Finger Mitts
A February Birchbox item this time. Now this has a nice scent, and I get the whole travel-friendly aspect to it. But other than that, there is nothing super special about it, and the whole mitt thing seems over hyped. Won’t be buying the full size, even with the travel-friendly aspects though because it’s expensive and I have never found myself wanting to pack nail polish remover on a trip anyway.
21. GlamGlow Super-Mud Clearing Treatment Mask
Last, but certainly not least! This item has it’s own dedicated post! Check out my detailed review there.
